A song by your favorite band

I don't think have a favorite band. I used to think that my life revolved around Donny Osmond.

I still love him. I just think he is so cool! Why, you ask? I have no idea. I just do. I like what I like. hahaha

 Then I moved on to Journey. Garen took my to My very First Concert when I was 14. August 5th of 2000. It was amazing. It was Journey. We were at the Gorge in George, Washington. One of the best arena's that I have ever been too.Tehy started the show with a vidio of them driving up from California. Then the stage when dark. For like 2 minutes. I thought that there was a problem with something. I was sad. Then in a burst of light, color and sound they opened the show with Any Way You Want It.

As the show went on they played a song that I hadnt heard. Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'. Garen did this weird swaying dance as the song played. I wish i had a video of that! hahahaha

Then I went through my Blue October faze.

I love Blue October. The Lead singer is bipolar and Schizophrenic.He started writing music to help cope with the mental battles he faces. When I started listening to Blue October. I was pretty Depressed. I became obsessed with the music. I am doing much better now than I was then.

I now listen to them and enjoy the music. The lyrics tell stories that remind me of where I wont go again. I am so glad that I found this band when I did.

No just for fun, I am going to post a couple more of their songs:

Calling you. This is the song that plays when Joseph calls me.

Not broken anymore

I changed my Mind My Favorite Band isn't a band. Well, its a band of crazy People. My favorite Band is my family!  So, for your viewing pleasure here are a few videos of my famdango being the AWESOME that we are.

Now do you see why this is my favorite band? I love Mom's commentary. She tells Dad to Sing Old Lamp Lighter. Then she tells him to sit down. hahahaha

A song that reminds you of your first love

I was 15 years old. I was in Orem Utah. I saw him. He was so handsome. He could sing, dance, and his smile made me melt. Yes i know I was only 15 and not old enough to date. Yes, I know that I was in Utah only visiting from Washington. Yes, I know he was so much older than I was. I just couldn't help but to fall in love with him right then and there.

Any Dream will NOT do. I became such a love struck Teenager that you would think that it was the 1970's all over again. I had pictures of him all over my room. I read very news clipping and book that I could find. I watched every TV appearance. I then started branching out and got copies of TV appearances from Europe. Everything in my life revolved around Donny Osmond. I was nuts. My old bedroom at my dad's house is painted Purple in honor of Donny's trade Mark Purple socks!

So there are lots of songs that remind me of this wonderfully handsome and dreamy man. (Joseph was reading over my shoulder. He just left saying "I am going to go out before I throw up") When I met Donny the first time I was 16. I don't know what came over me but I told him that I didnt like the some Puppy Love. That was the song that really made his Career.

 I think that I didnt love it so much because he was only 14 when he sang it.

In 1989 he had his come back his with Soldier of love.

I love his voice way better and an adult.

Okay I am getting off topic. I was to tell you about a song that reminds me of my first love. Well anything that Donny sings reminds me of him. He is just sort of wonderful. I am going to stop before I actually make Joseph throw up.

A song that Reminds you of the past summer

 **********WARNING**********
 This may be too nerdy and or childish for most readers. You have been warned
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So this summer, Kyle and I were preparing our "talent" for Ensign Ranch. We were so excited to show everyone! Kyle had been practicing his singing. (If any of you have heard him sing, you know what a big deal that is.) So we practiced out song and dance number for hours.
After much thought and consideration, we chose to sing a song from Pebble and the Penguin. We loved that movie as kids. Well, also as adults. hahaha. There is a song that Hubey and Rocko sing together. "Looks like I've got me a friend" Kyle had only been in Utah for a short time at this point. We were relearning how to get along. It was tough. This song was ironic because it was what became the foundation of our renewed friendship.
Kyle was Hubey and I was Rocko. I have to admit, we couldn't sing worth a darn but we were pretty dang funny to watch.
A Song That Reminds You of Your BEST FRIEND
Katie Marie and I have been Friends since we were 11 ish.
The summer after we turned 16 we got super fat. It was an awesome summer! We ate Dulce de Leche (sp) Ice Cream, Double stuffed Oreo's and we watched Moulin Rouge everyday, several times a day. hahaha
We wore out the vhs of this movie. We would watch the The Elephant love medley at least 6 times when it came up. We would rewind it over and over and over and over...... ahaha We learned the parts. We sand the Harmony. We would change who was Christian or Satine. It was awesome! Sadly the clip isnt from the movie. I tried.
A song that is Often Stuck in your head
I dont really want to tell you for fear that it will be stuck in my head. hahaha
I dont really have ONE song that gets stuck in my head.
Lately, Just Give Me a Reason by Pink has been stuck in my head lately.
It frustrates me to have a song stuck in my head. Listening to the whole thing dons't help get it out of my head. I have a song that I will force myself to sing. Ricky Nelson's Traveling Man.
That song never seems to get stuck but it always kicks out what does. hahhaha
A song that Calms you Down
I don't really have a song that will calm me down.I have been trying to think of something that I could put here.
When I get home from work, during my 10 minutes to myself and while I am making dinner before Joseph gets home, I listen to a mix of Billy Joel and Neil Diamond. So I don't really have one song that calms me down. It's more like 100 ish.
Jonathan Livingston Seagul is probably my favorite to listen to right when I get home. This music is fun and easy to listen to.
A song that reminds you of one/both your parents
Mom had a few go to songs when she would be sitting down at the piano. If she was just messing around at home or if she was in a public place. She would start with Old McDonald. It would be played like she was a beginner. It was like she was showing you that she had just figured it out. Then she would boogie woogie the song.  As heard in the clip
Until my mom died we would sing around the piano. Mom would play fun songs and that would entice (trick) us to come sing. (I say trick because we wouldn't know sometimes that we were practicing for a "special" musical number in church until a couple of days (or the day of) before.) Mom would play Old Lamp Lighter and that would generally get most of us to come to the piano. Then She would play Here Am I. I loved to hear Dad sing this. I sadly only have a copy of him singing it where I am singing also. No one needs to hear that. So, I have a clip of my dad singing Old Lamp Lighter.
A song that reminds you of your most recent Ex-boyfriend
My last ex-boyfriend would be Joseph. I had to EX him out of the boyfriend category in order to place him in the husband category. Bam Win!
One of the m any trips to the grocery story that was taken while Joseph and I were dating something amazing happened. Kyle decided to be a brat! Okay that isn't really all that amazing. Anyway, Kyle Joseph and I were driving to Winco. We were listening to a Disney mix CD that Kyle has made. A Whole New World from Aladdin Started playing. Until then, kyle and i had been singing along with every song that had played. I paused the CD and asked Joseph if he would be my Aladdin. He wasn't thrilled at the idea of just jumping in to sing. Kyle tried to tease him to get him to sing. Joseph isn't that kind. As soon as someone starts pushing, it becomes a brick wall. He will not be moved. I then told him is made me sad that he wouldn't sing with me. he still wasn't going to be a part of this. Kyle and I sang along with the song. We all went Grocery shopping time passed. Joseph was given a copy of the Disney CD. Where in secret he had been practicing Aladdin's part! We were on a drive and he said "I have something for you" I was scared. he changed the CD in his car and put it on tack 5. When A Whole New World started playing. He started singing!!! When the song was over he told me that he had been practicing since that trip to Winco. Now when ever I hear that song all I can thing is "Aww Joefluff is my Aladdin."
A song from my Childhood
I as thinking about this. What part of my childhood is this question referring to?
I asked Joseph and he told me that it would be anytime before the age of 8. That helped some....
We made Candy when I was a kid. That is something that I have posted about before. When we would be working we would listen to lots of different music. Something that Sticks out in my brain the most is that Dedra would often wake us up by playing 9 to 5 By Dolly Parton REALLY LOUD. We would all Stumble out of bed and tumble to kitchen. Our cup of ambition was 315 degree candy that we would pour into the molds. We would be yawning and stretching trying to come to life. After very one had taken showers and the blood was pumping we would work ALL day, not just 9to5. But what a way to make a living. We were all driven a little crazy in the process. We wanted to move ahead, do different things but the boss (mom) wouldn't let us until we were older. hahah
I just listened to that song and in my brain I saw Dedra Singing 9to5 being funny in the way she danced and boogied down the hall. Good times.
The next 25 days
I have been talking with my sister Dedra and my brother Ryan. We have chosen to accept the 25 song, 25 day challenge. I am really excited about this! At the same time I am really nervous. What if you are so jealous of my song choices that i have ruined your life? What if you are so jealous of my awesomeness that you start to cry yourself to sleep every night? What are you going to do when you figure out that the World really does revolve around me?
I know that these are going to be some tough things to face but.... I think that I am ready.
So here goes.
