I should learn to proof read... Naaa

It’s that time again. I really do well about posting and then I get in a rut and think “blah! I don’t love my blog.” Well I have decided to overlook my momentary distaste for my blog and post something.

I brought over the ugly blanket to show Spencer. As far as I could tell, he thought it was neat. He told me he was sorry for ruining everything. I told him he ruined nothing. That this blanket will still be used. He was able to see it. There is nothing ruined. He didn’t want to have his picture taken. I told him he had to. He said that I wasn’t to post it. So, sadly you won’t get to see said picture.

School started again. I didn’t realize how much more traffic there would be. My ride to work has become more interesting. Now I have to watch for crazy teen drivers too. haha. I am amazed on how many kids drive. I don’t remember that many people driving when I was in high school. Whatever.

My allergies were going crazy for a couple of days. (It’s rained and I feel much better now.) Spencer asked what was wrong because I was sniffing. He thought I was crying. I told him I was fine that I would be better when it rained. He asked if he would be better too when it rained. That he was tired of being sick. I really did start crying after that. It was heart breaking. That was a couple of days ago.

I have discovered that you can’t read a book on your electronic device but you are able to read a magazine at your desk. That made zero sense to me. Oh well, I was able to read almost the whole Ensign at work today. Ha!

Last night Spencer was awake and we were talking… sort of… He was asking his normal round of questions trying to figure out what was going on. After he decided that he hated everything I started asking him questions.

I asked Spencer if he knew what was still holding him to this life. He said he didn’t know but he wished he did.

I asked Spencer if he was scared. He was quiet for a moment. He was frustrated and said that he didn’t know.

I asked if he was ready. He said Yes.

I asked if he knew that he is loved. He said he wasn’t worth it. I said “That is not what I asked you. I asked if you knew you were loved. Not if you thought you were worth it.” He said Yes. I then explained to him that he is worth loving.

I asked if he remembered the first time he told me he loved me. He said no. I told him the story. He said he was sorry for not remembering.

I asked him if he remembered the slinky date. He smiled and said yes. I started to cry. I was so happy. The slinky date was fun. We’d only been dating a couple of months. It was getting chilly outside. I had made us stew for dinner. We then raced slinkies down the stairs at the apartments I was living at, at the time. In the trunk of my car I had put 2lt bottles of Diet coke and a 12 pack of cans. I had Mentos in my pocket. We made soda fountains and bombs at the park. It was so fun! When we got back from the park we were sticky. It was a mess. We then finger panted with different colors of pudding and then ate it with graham crackers. He painted my face a little. My roommate at the time made us call a truths before it got too messy. Haha. It was really fun.

I asked him if he remembered all the puzzles we worked on while we were getting to know each other. He said yes. I was so glad.

I know that he will have a perfect knowledge when he dies. I know that he will be able to remember everything. It doesn’t stop it from hurting when he doesn’t remember big moments. I am glad that he remembers other things though. It’s funny, without the puzzles we wouldn’t had had the slinky date. Without the slinky date we wouldn’t have ended up talking about visiting Washington. Without the trip to Washington we wouldn’t have worked our way up the “I love you” stage. Maybe he just remembers the important moments that lead up to the big ones. See even now he is teaches me perspective. He’s a turd. I love him.

After my Mom died I was scared. I knew that I would be able to see her again. I just needed to remain faithful to what I knew was right and true. I am not going to pretend that I didn’t go a little crazy after she died because I did. After much soul searching, prayer, fasting and a lot of help from Spencer and my family I have found a deeper understanding of the Gospel and the Plan of Salvation. I know that when I pray that Heavenly Father hears the word I say. I also know that sometimes He wants to tell me to “SHUT UP”. I know that I will get to see my Mother again. I know this. I know that my family is an Eternal one. There will be a party on the block labeled “Kent and Charlet Anderson’s Family” It will be loud, fun and you wish you were invited. Haha. The last 2 ½ years have taught me a great deal. I am sad to be losing Spencer. I am. The thought of him not being here brings me to tears every time. He has a great work to do. He will be able to be a missionary. He is an amazing teacher. He is so kind and patient. He has an understanding of the gospel that will help him in the next life.

I was scared when Mom died. I am not so scared with Spencer dying. ( I am scared for him to meet mom. He thought the rest of us were nuts. He’s going to meet the Mama of the crazies!) I am sad but I am not scared. I am so thankful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I don’t think that I would have been able to handle this life without the truths and the knowledge that the church has provided me.

30 inches later...

So Katie and I were both feeling cabin fever setting in last night. Ben had Sophie and Spencer was with his friends.

Katie and I went to the dollar movie and then to Smiths to get milk.

We were sitting at my house. Talking about how we needed something new. That we felt weighed down.

We both have been trying to exercise more. We are both eating better. This has been good for me. Katie needed another kick start. I understand. 3 years ago I cut 15 inches of hair off. Last night we cut 30!

We cut 3, 10 inch pony tails!

This is what happens at 1am and we are thinking we need to do something drastic...

The things that are

This is the first blog post in a long time. It's amazing him the lack of Internet can cut you off from so many thing.

We'll do a good news minute:

*My new job is amazing. I love it a lot. I enjoy most of my coworkers. The one I don't enjoy doesn't bug as much anymore and we team sell really well together.

*Dedra was in town for a couple of weeks. It was fun. We played, stalked Donny Osmond and even made a quick trip to Vegas.

*I am all settled into my apartment. It's nice to feel like an adult. There comes a time when you out grow having roommates. So until a get married I don't plan on living with anyone

*I am currently listening to Spencer play the piano. That is one of my most favorite things.

*Even though Craig isn't my favorite person a still work there sometimes. It's just random and when I want to show up. It's nice to have the tips and the play money.

That was a fun minute.

Fun stories...
Spencer and I went to SLC to get my couch. It's spectacular! So my friend that we got it from didn't find a date for when we went to dinner. Spencer had a double date of the best kind. 1 boy 2 girls.

The Kid at work I don't enjoy is Ken. I call him Kennerd. We race in sales. He's winning right now but I'm closer to my goal than he us to his. Muhahaha!!!

Things are going well for me. I'm enjoying being back in Provo. I enjoy being so close to Spencer. I am happy where I am in life for the moment.

I'm not dead

Just a quick update. To let you know I'm not dead.

I moved back to Provo. I moved on the 4th of July. Spencer was awesome and spent the afternoon/evening helping me move and then putting my furniture together. He's awesome. I love him. He's for keeps.

I no longer have Internet.

I got a new job! That's right I said "PEACE OUT!!!" to Craig's and now work at Schubock Jewelry in the Provo mall. I heart it mucho.

Spencer and I went to the nickel arcade Friday. It's like a kid casino. We went with his home teacher and his wife. It was fun. I like them.

I am currently sitting on a couch in Spencer's living room listening to him practice the piano. He's only been playing a year and he's awesome. It's one of my favorite things getting to listen to him practice. He's a keeper.

Oh and to end my post I'd like to say I DON'T LIKE JIMMY OR BILLY!!!

All rolled into one

So it's been a full week since I posted last. I don't love not having Internet. It ruins my life!

Memory Monday - My friend Katie and I had to make the diabetic dessert for the "Senior Saints" dinner when we were 16. We didn't have the baking splenda. We had about 500 packets that Katie stole from her dad. :) After opening all of the packets we were about 1/4 cup short. My mon said to just use sugar. Give the old people a treat. Katie and I weren't too big on killing people (yet) so we came up with a different plan.
We pooled our money and went to Denny's and bought a piece of pie. (The people at Shari's knew us. We didn't want band for life) We then stole all The splenda packets off the tables! Our waiter comes out and says "how come every time I turn around I hear sugar packets shufflin'?" Katie and I then emptied our pockets and explained what we were doing. He went in the back and brought out a big bucket of splenda packets and said we could take as much as we needed!
We didnt have money for a tip so we left a full subway card and Pass along card. Oh and just so you know, the brownies we made were gross. The moral of the story is USE SUGAR!

Tuesday - I again have no story. Work was rather uneventful. I didn't see Spencer and it was so hot out side I wanted to cry.

Wednesday - Dave (My boss) closed the shop with me. He worked the front desk while I cut hair. Things he'd claimed I'd done he had to do. Such as turn customers away because we were booked for the evening. He was sweet justice! He also said as we were cleaning up that he couldn't believe how great I was. Haha I don't know why he was so shocked but what ever. In the bulk email with the next work schedule he added
"Standing Ovation for Gina. As the only stylist for three hours in Orem I was amazed how many quality cuts she provided while providing a personal experience to each client. And the seven steps every time too! Big hand for Gina!"
Guess who got full time hours again! Better yet, guess who's quitting! OH THAT'S ME! Muhahaha!!!

Thursday - ......... I don't know

Friday - Spent the evening with Spencer. I sure do heart him.

Saturday - We went to Ikea in the morning. Then had a fun date that night. We went to dinner and then a late showing of Cars 2. It was really fun.

Sunday -

Good Idea- going on vacation
Bad Idea- Not telling all your kids and also not having cell coverage. RUDE! (Dad, Guilty!)

Good Idea- Ikea
Bad Idea- not renting a uhaul when going

Good Idea- fun dates with Spencer
Bad Idea- there is no bad idea for this one

Good Idea- 70 degrees with overcast
Bad Idea- This 90 degrees with no clouds crap we've been having! (...oh how I miss Washington...)

Good Idea- packing all your things up before you move.
Bad Idea- wanting to move now because you are living out of boxes... (I was overly motivated when packing)

Good Idea- taking naps
Bad Idea- wearing pants (I don't know why I think pants are a bad idea. I just don't like wearing them! Viva No Pants!)

Good Idea- having a night light when you're scared of the dark.
Bad Idea- taking down all of your glow in the dark stars because your moving. (I know I'm 25 and that I shouldn't be scared of the dark but my room is scary now. I can't wait to move so I'll have my night light again!)

This was my week!

Date Night - Bowling

Wow it has been a long while. I guess it's a good idea to take advantage if the Internet while it lasts.

The people I pilfer Internet from are so rude and inconsiderate for not always having the Internet working. That's called lame!

Spencer and I went on a triple date tonight. We went bowling!!! (Not that kind of bowling. ;D Haha) Dinner, Bolderdash and rootbeer floats followed. It was fun. We were with Derek and River. Derek had set Rachel up with a guy from his work named Christian.

While Bowling we had "bowling names" in the computer. River was Tree. Derek was Hefe. Christian was Cornelius. Spencer was Sauce and I was Mom. Derek thought it was fitting. Haha I think Christian was the only one who broke 100. We were so bad! It was fun! Dinner was at The Pizza Factory. Games and floats were at Derek and River's apartment.

Rachel and Christian weren't being social with each other so Derek sent them on a walk. :) CUTE! Derek just wants everyone to be married and happy like he and River are. It's nice.

I am now sitting on a couch in Spencer's living room listening to him practice the piano. I love being able to end evenings listening to him play. Its one of my favorite things.

Memory Monday - First date with Spencer

So it's Monday again! Yay Monday! Haha

So last Memory Monday I posted some of my firsts. I think I want to stick with that. I am going to tell you about my first date with Spencer.

We have an awesome friend named Derek. Derek was in my ward when I moved to Utah this last time and Spencer has known him since High School.

July 16, 2010
I get a phone call from Derek saying "Gina! We want to offer you Sauce!" (a nick name Spencer has had since high school) Derek called Spencer and said something pretty close to that about me.
In my journal it says "they are setting me up on a blind date... I'm scared"

July 17, 2010
Today is the day! I was scared out of my mind! The last guy I'd gone out with, we'll... Let's just say it didn't work out.
"Sauce" and Theron knock on my door. It was a group date. Derek with River, Rachel with Theron, and "Sauce" with me.
Derek and River went down the hall for a few minutes to we could all talk. Haha! I was siting on the couch. Spencer sat on the other couch but we were at the same end. I look at Theron who was sitting on the floor by the door and say "So you, tell the class a little about yourself." He started talking about Math and how he lived for it... I then say "Okay so you are no longer allowed to talk around me. You have lost all speaking privileges" This not being intimidating... Haha I turn to Spencer and say "Okay your turn"

We were driving to Trafalga and we passed some people having car trouble and the boys saved the day!
Once we got to Trafalga we played mini golf. Derek is super competitive and was keeping score. I tore up the score card and then the fun began! We started placing bets! I thought Spencer was really nice and way cute. I said if he could get a whole in one that I would make him dinner later in the week. He'd been kicking out butts anyway and totally made the shot! I was very pleased.

After mini golf we went to dinner at China Lilly. It was good and the conversation was good too. I was digging on how shy Spencer was. It was adorable how he'd blush when talking. He was just so cute!

We all came back to my house for rootbeer floats and watched 'Cars' I'd never seen it before. I was sad when Spencer didn't sit by me when we watched the movie. :( I thought that I'd again like someone who didn't like me back. Haha STORY OF MY LIFE!!!

So that was our first date. It was about as Mormon as they come. It was really fun.

In my journal I wrote:
"I think I scared the guy! I don't think I'll get to go out with him again because I'm intense. Sad Day. It was a really fun evening though."

I did see him again though! Muhahaha! He came over for dinner a few days later. Then nothing til Derek and River got married. Now almost 9 months later... I'm pretty sure I'll keep him. I love him a lot.

Date Night

So at lunch today I was asked what Britt and I would be doing for date night. I didn't know. I thought about that while at work and when texting with Brittany we came up with nothing.

7:30 rolled around slowly but at the same time too fast because we still had no plan... Well we ended up having a lot of fun tonight.

Hair color - $12
Wax pot - $34
Tweezers - $6
Dinner - $25
Memories and laughs shared with a close friend - priceless

I heart date night.
